Drawing from themes of time, weathering, and memory, this project explores the concept of architectural fermentation: the ideal that places can be intentionally decayed to produce positive latent qualities. In relation to the experience of the city, these notions were investigated, discoursed, and illustrated at several scales, before being utilised within a specific context, the city of Leicester. The result is a series of speculative designs, found through the medium of gardens.
